What should students wear?

COVID Safe classes

Classes will operate in compliance with current Qld Government legislation. Students may not attend classes if they are sick.

Hand sanitiser is provided for use before, during and after classes.

Uniform & Hair

Hair must be worn pulled back off face and neck in a ponytail or bun for all dance classes.

Tinies Dance: Pale pink leotard with pink full skirt to top of knee, can be separate or attached and pink ballet shoes. (not jiffies)

Classical Ballet: Black Leotard, Pink socks,  Pink Ballet Shoes and a Full Pink or Black Skirt to top of knee.

Hip Hop/Jazz : Black leotard or own choice of singlet top with  black bike pants and black jazz shoes.

Contemporary/Lyrical: Black leotard or own choice of singlet top with black bike pants or dance pants and black jazz shoes.

Boys: White t-shirt with black bike pants, shorts or long pants.
Black ballet or Jazz shoes are to be worn.

Where Can I Buy the Uniform?

All dancewear can be purchased from the studio. Sizing sets of leotards and shoes are available to ensure a correct fit.

Can I come and watch?

Parent Viewing

Although we welcome parental support, we have found that parents in the classroom  are a distraction and draw the attention away from the teacher.
Parents, grandparents and friends are welcome to view the last class of each term depending on restrictions at the time.

Will there be a chance to see our kids in a recital?

Yes each year there is an “End of Year” concert

Held in November at Atherton High School Community Hall. Each class is taught routines throughout the year which they are given the opportunity to perform. The concert allows students to showcase their talents and demonstrate their improvement, this provides stage confidence, self esteem and of course a lot of fun. We aim to have a “no sewing” concert and students may keep purchased costumes.

How long are terms?

Terms follow the school year as follows*:

Term 1: 31st of January- 31st of March 2022

Term 2: 19th of April- 23rd of June 2022

Term 3: 11th of July- 15th of September 2022

Term 4: 4th of October- 1st of December

*Classes are held on student free days, but not on public holidays

How much are classes?

Fees (Per Child, Per Term)

Tinies Dance:        1 x 1/2 hr class per week    $80 per term

All other classes:  1 class per week                   $120 per term

2 classes per week                $185 per term

How can I pay fees?

Fees may be paid by cash, cheque or direct debit, and must be referenced with your childs name.
